Adult Classes & Studies

CLASSES BEGIN SUNDAY, MAY 19 & END SUNDAY, JULY 21

CLASSES

Andy Mater  |  Room WC102  |  8:30am

Joshua is one of only two men who lived through slavery in Egypt and set foot in the Promised Land! This ten-week study with Andy Mater will walk through the book of Joshua while paying close attention to his transition into leadership, his successes and failures in leadership, and how he passed those leadership responsibilities to the next generation. While we may not be called to lead an entire nation, there are great truths we can learn and apply from Joshua as we step out and claim the inheritance that we have in Christ!

Pastor Micah Warren  |  Room WC104  |  8:30am

Counterfeit gods strive to grab our attention and steal God’s glory. This is why idolatry is the most discussed problem in the Bible. Don’t give into the myth that gods are only statues that people worshipped long ago. Pleasure, romance, sex, money, and power are just a few of the gods that vie for our allegiance. Join us as we explore these topics and much more.  When The Lord takes His rightful place in our hearts, we will have victory.  You will be encouraged to read Kyle Ideman’s book, “gods At War”.

Pastor Nathan Adams  |  Room WC102  |  10:00am

“Don’t be anxious!” Easier said than done. It’s no secret that anxiety, fear, and worry are on the rise in our culture today. Maybe you yourself struggle with this issue. You may have read a book, listened to a sermon, or sought counsel. Perhaps you know  someone with anxiety. Pastor Nathan invites you to take this ten-week class on anxiety. In this class, we will cover a biblical view of anxiety, how to overcome it, walk in victory, and help those around us.

Jeff Burow  |  Room WC103  |  10:00am

This class is for teens, ages 6th grade - 12th grade. Through Biblical teaching, they will learn how to navigate the trials they are facing in this day and age in which we live.

*No sign up required.

Eric Mendez  |  Room WC104  |  10:00am

After instructing believers how to suffer well and affirming that the suffering they were experiencing was truly the grace of God at work in their lives, the Apostle Peter writes a second letter to these same believers. However, this second letter is vastly   different! Peter now turns to the grand subject of sanctification and gives stern warnings about the false teachers already present in the church.
